Åland Post Becomes Matkahuolto’s New Transport Partner in Åland

Starting from 1 October 2026, Åland Post will serve as Matkahuolto’s new transport partner in Åland.

The cooperation provides consumers and businesses in Åland with a wider range of transport options for parcels, freight and pallet shipments, as well as access to a larger network of pick-up points. Matkahuolto is Finland’s second-largest parcel operator, with a nationwide network of 2,550 parcel lockers and service points. Finnish consumers have ranked Matkahuolto’s parcel services as the most respected brand in the industry for several consecutive years and view Matkahuolto as the most responsible company in Finland’s parcel and logistics sector.

The new partnership strengthens Åland Post’s offering in parcel and logistics services. Through the partnership, Åland Post will handle Matkahuolto’s shipments within Åland as well as between Åland and mainland Finland. Åland Post’s post offices, service points, parcel lockers and home delivery services will extend Matkahuolto’s service network in Finland.

At the same time, the partnership strengthens Matkahuolto’s service network in Åland and makes its services even more accessible to customers throughout Finland.

Through Åland Post’s service network, customers will gain access to more drop-off and pick-up points, home delivery services, and a broader range of parcel, freight and pallet transport services.

The cooperation also supports e-commerce merchants and business customers by providing a comprehensive transport and service network both in Åland and throughout Finland.
